Company Girl Coffee-A Week In Review

Good evening Company Girls! Grab a cup and sit down.

I have to admit that I am a little jealous with all of the snow pics that so many of you have posted. I want some snow. This is from November. It melted as soon as the snow stopped falling.

Here is a quick review of what's gone on this week:

10-plus 10 more days until Mako Man's birthday.
9-more days until the kids are out of school for 3 days.
8 bazillion times of hearing Lugnut say, "Edward is so hot." We saw the movie Twilight. She is in LOVE. It disturbs me greatly.
7,364,243,684,235 times that I have been bopped in the head by Tink, my toy poodle. She gets on the back of the couch and whacks me with her toy every time I get on the computer.
6 hours of sleep a night-if I am lucky
5 minutes is how long it took the repair to fix my Dyson. FYI for all of you out there thinking about getting a Dyson-the switches break every 6 months to a year. I need to learn how to replace the switch because the part costs $15, but the labor is $90.
4 days that I didn't have to cook this week. Thanks Mako Man! You totally rock dude!
3 days of work this week. I always have this slow down period after the Christmas break. I work with high school and middle school kids who get suspended. Most school don't carry suspensions through Christmas break.
2-days the Lugnut was out of school. She is a sickly little thing sometimes.
1-horrible meeting attended about beach closures.

Nice countdown! I have a Dyson and I love it. I've had it for about 5 years now, and haven't had any switches break yet! Is it the on/off switch?

Yes...the guy who fixed it in Chesapeake said that the switches wear out. Mine is a DC17, so maybe it is just that model.

I'm jealous of all the snow, too. It has just been windy here. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I think my husband deserves the AWWW Award, too. I told him what you said, and he wanted me to make sure you knew that he also doesn't let me take out the trash. He's bragging now :)

Hi Fishy Girl,
You are busy. How do you fit it all in?
Glad you stopped by my site.

Sure wish I shared your enthusiasm for snow. We moved south to get away from it, but I check the weather up north every day to see what's happening there. My mom is expected to get 8 inches and my mother-in-law 12 inches. Yikes!

I love it when my husband cooks, too.

hey, good for you for speaking up at the meeting! They need to hear what you have to say! And I know how you feel about crying...I hate when I break down, but then again, when I see someone else do it, I feel compassion, not criticism.

I have not seen/read the Twilight movie/books, but I know they are really popular with teens/preteens. I've got to admit, it seems like a creepy premise, but I've heard you have to see it to "get" it.

Sounds like a busy but interesting week. We'll never get snow here, but I'm fine with that. Snow is close enough to drive to, but I'm a big wuss when it comes to the cold. I'll just have to enjoy other people's photos.

Rachel Anne, I am glad to hear that some people feel compassion. It is completely involuntary on my part and it is something that I would change about me if I could. The first time that I spoke out was in February of 2008. One lawyer turned his back on him, one smirked while typing on his laptop and a scientist sat there and rolled his eyes. I was so furious that I cried. I was shaking with rage and indignation. I have prayed a lot about it and now I just feel pity for them. I cannot imagine going through life with no compassion for someone else. How sad.

As for Twilight...it reminds me of some of the classics, like Romeo and Juliet or Wuthering Heights. Just change the man into a vampire who doesn't use humans for food. I try to read whatever my teenager is reading. That way I know what is going on. I don't believe in banning books as long as there is discussion after reading them.

Dani-you are right....he is bragging. ;) Seriously, you can tell how much you two love each other. It is great to feel wanted.

We too are jealous of the snow. My 3-yr old keeps saying "the snow not come."

Nice countdown. Hope this week is a little slower.
